




The Race
Tackle all three legs yourself, or split them up within a relay team, either way you're sure to enjoy the Run, Paddle and Ride of our event!

~3.8 Miles
RUN
You will begin at Fitness Coliseum in Owosso and run approximately 3.8 miles along the Shiawassee River trail to McCurdy Park in Corunna. The trail is a combination of paved, gravel, dirt and boardwalk.

~3.5 Miles
PADDLE
You will arrive at McCurdy Park to your paddle staging area. Athletes will then launch their paddle vessle (kayaks, canoes and SUP are all permitted) into the Shiawassee River and paddle apprximately 3.5 miles back to Owosso. Water levels on the Shi vary year to year, but it is beginner friendly.

~9 Miles
RIDE
After exiting the river in Owosso, participants mount their bikes for an approximately 9 mile long bike loop through our small city streets and out through the country. You will ride you bike back across the finish line at Fitness Coliseum to complete the race!

The Shi-Tri is possible every year because of the time and effort put forth by our amazing volunteers! Successful execution of this event takes more than 100 volunteers over the course of 48 hours! From set up , to check in, to race direction to tear down, we could use your help!
